January 2023 Program:
Montika Allen-Atkinson's trunk show featured quilts of her own design made with African and domestic textiles.  Montika's Quilts of Valor are designed following conversations with the recipient and incorporating specifics of the individual's service.  Many of her quilts reflect her own perspectives, tell a story, or exemplify the need for social justice and kindness. Techniques that Montika uses in creating her quilts include the selection of vibrant colors,  thread painting, applique', embroidered messages, fabric dyeing with rust and natural plant material, and detailed custom long-arm quilting.  Montika has received national recognition and awards for her talent. We are proud to have her as a member of KPQG!

November 2022 Program:
Twilling, Curved Paper Piecing, Fabric Fragment Fun, and Quilt-As-You-Go.
